WORK EXPERIENCE: Operations Manager Unity Township Municipal Authority (UTMA),
Latrobe PA. since 1994, which serves approximately 7000 households and businesses.
Management responsibilities include overseeing and planning of operations
and maintenance for approximately 110 miles of collection line, 10 pump stations
and two wastewater treatment plants.
Consulting experience over the years involve a wide array of environmental assessments, and construction projects ranging from complex river sampling to the construction of wastewater and water treatment facilities. Supervised sampling programs for industrial discharge studies, infiltration/inflow surveys, water quality monitoring, resident engineer for wastewater/water projects and start-up/process control training of those facilities.
Part time Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic
Development (PADCED) Classroom Instructor/Onsite Assistance Programs since
1988.
Presently PADCED Southwestern Pennsylvania Area Representative for Classroom
Instruction/Onsite Assistance.
PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS: Professional activities include past president of the Western Pennsylvania Water Pollution Control Association and presently serve on Seminar, Safety and Planning Committee and Executive Board of that organization. Pennsylvania Water Environment Association (PWEA) activities include serving on the Executive Board of Directors, Professional Wastewater Operator Committee, Safety Committee, Training Committee and co-author of Certification Whiz Quiz, which is published in the bi-monthly magazine of the PWEA.
HOBBIES: Hobbies include fishing, hiking, cross-country
skiing, hunting, and golf.
